These collectable glass Inukshuk are unique sculptures crafted by Thomas W. Billings. They come in 2 sizes: 9cm ($59) and 11cm ($69).
These intruiging figures known as inukshuk are found throughout the Arctic world. Inukshuk means "in the likeness of a human" in the Inuit language. Traditionally they were monuments made of unworked stones used by the Inuit for communication and survival. The traditional meaning of the inukshuk is "Someone was here" or "You are on the right path." They also marked a place of respect or a memorial for a beloved person. Inukshuks were also objects of veneration, signifying places of power or the abode of spirits.
Inukshuks make great gifts, reminding the receiver that they are on the "right path".
Comes safely nestled in a hand-made, fairly traded paper box.
